2020 Agro-dealers survey report
Local agro-dealers are small businesses who specialize in selling agro inputs: seeds, fertilizers, agro chemicals and other farming equipment, in some cases, local agro dealers also provide extension services to farmers. Feed the Future Tanzania- Mboga na Matunda is already working with prominent input suppliers so as to strengthen these agro dealers. Regardless of deliberate efforts towards agro dealers, their businesses are still under encumbrances. Thus, the rationale of conducting these agrodealer surveys. The 2020 survey identified some needs required by agro dealers particularly on financial services, inconsistent supply of certain inputs, but also taxes related challenges.
