SENSOR(Strengthening small-holders’ opportunities in environmentally and socially responsible value chains for sustainable livelihoods)

“Strengthening Small-holders Opportunities in Environmentally and Socially Responsible Value Chains for Sustainable Livelihoods” (SENSORE). The project aims to provide comprehensive support to farmers in Tanzania by implementing sustainable standards to enable them to access regional and international markets.

These markets have been challenging for small-scale farmers to access due to compliance costs associated within supply chains. The project will address challenges on building climate resilience to farmers, unsustainable farming practices, environmental degradation, unequal market access, and lack of participation by youth, women and special groups in market access opportunities.

To meet farmers sustainable world, the environmental social and economic aspects in which smallholder farmers are centred to this, sustainable standards will be employed to support smallholder farmers across the country through capacity building, coaching, lobbying and strategic partnership with various actors within the supply chain. The goal is to enhance market competitiveness, gender and social inclusiveness, and sustainable and responsible farming practices.
