ENG. ZEBADIAH STEPHANO MOSHI was appointed to the TAHA Board of Directors on 06th December 2019, as the TAHA Board Chairman and a Member of the Executive Committee of the TAHA Board.
He represents the Comprehensive category of TAHA Member.
Eng. Moshi is a Tanzanian national, who holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management from University of Birmingham – U.K, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam. Eng. Moshi is currently the Permanent Secretary in the ELCT Northern Diocese, and had a distinctive tenure as the Director General of the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) for 11 years until 2016. He provides Consultancy services for a number of national and international organizations on Skills Development.
Eng. Moshi is also a Board a Board Member of Tanzania Gatsby Trust; and a former Board member of National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE), National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE).

Dr. Jacqueline David Mkindi is an internationally recognized agribusiness leader, policy advocate, and transformational change agent in the horticulture industry. With over 19 years of leadership experience, she has spearheaded groundbreaking agribusiness management, advocacy, and investment facilitation initiatives, unlocking economic opportunities across Tanzania and beyond.
Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA), Dr. Mkindi has led the organization’s growth from a modest two-person team to a robust entity employing over 130 staff members and representing more than 1,600 members. Her work has directly contributed to unlocking close to $1 billion in horticulture market opportunities, propelling Tanzania’s horticulture sector onto the global stage.
In addition to her executive role at TAHA, Dr. Mkindi chairs TAHA subsidiaries TAHAFresh Handling Ltd and GreenCert Ltd, both of which have become leaders in logistics and certification for the East African agricultural sector. Under her leadership, these entities have significantly enhanced the competitiveness of Tanzanian agriculture produce in international markets.
Dr. Mkindi has served on numerous national, regional, and global boards, advisory councils, and technical committees. Highlights include her role as Chairperson of the Horticulture Council for Eastern Africa, Board Member of the Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticides Authority, Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute and Executive Council Member of the East Africa Business Council. She has also advised international organizations like the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) and contributed to global platforms, including the Davos Presidential Meetings and the G8 Summit. She also serves on two high-level platforms advising the President of United Republic of Tanzania on food and agriculture as well as gender issues: Presidential Food and Agriculture Development Council and Gender Equality Forum (GEF)
Her leadership has been recognized through numerous accolades, including an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration and Enterprises from Africa Graduate University (2020) and the Top 100 CEO of the Year Award (2024) in the nonprofit category. Dr. Mkindi’s influence extends beyond agriculture; she passionately advocates for women’s economic empowerment and sustainable development.
Dr. Mkindi holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Nature Conservation from Sokoine University of Agriculture. A dynamic visionary and strategic thinker, she is renowned for her exceptional communication and networking skills, which have helped forge partnerships with governments, donors, private sector stakeholders, and academic institutions worldwide.
As an unwavering advocate for agricultural transformation and economic development, Dr. Jacqueline Mkindi continues to shape policies and strategies that inspire impactful and sustainable growth across the horticultural sector.

DR. GABRIEL R. RUGALEMA was appointed to the TAHA Board of Directors on 13th June 2020, co-opted due to his vast experience and knowledge in the national, regional and international horticulture arena.
Dr. Rugalema is a highly motivated, dynamic, visionary and successful Tanzanian professional with global outlook and leadership and managerial experience, having over thirty years of distinguished international career in agricultural development, humanitarian, academia and diplomatic fields. He currently serves the Deputy Director General of the World Vegetable Center, coordinating and managing vegetable research and development (R&D) across 23 African countries. Dr. Rugalema has served in several United National Agencies where he put to work his educational experience from a Ph.D. in Development Studies, Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands, to a Master of Science - Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Agriculture, Agricultural University of Norway, Aas, Norway and a B.Sc. - Agriculture (Crop Science), Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro, Tanzania.
He has built and nurtured effective partnerships with various governments, donors, private sector institutions, CG Centers (CIAT, ILRI, ICRAF), International Financial Institutions (IFIs – IFAD, World Bank, African Development Bank) and academic institutions in both the global south and the global north. I have facilitated recruitment and hosting researchers, interns, doctoral and post-doctoral students.
Dr. Rugalema is a Member of the NORAD Fellows Network; a Member of the Southern Africa Farming Systems Research/Extension Network (SAAFR-E), and a Member of the Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania.

LUCY MOSES KAMPTONI is a Member in the Board of Directors of TAHA since 19th January 2023, and is also a Member of the TAHA Finance and Audit Committee. She represents the Associate category of TAHA Members.
She is an innovative, enthusiastic entrepreneur with more than thirty years of experience in leadership. She has experience of more than fifteen years collaborating and partnering with local and international organizations supporting community (children, women and youth) such as BEST, INCOFIN, TRIAS, Epic Change - Non Profit Organization (USA), TFFT (USA), Help for the Maasai (TZ), ACE (NZ), Line of Friends (Sweden) and different sponsors.
Lucy is a Tanzanian and a Founder and Managing Director of Shepherds Schools in Arusha, established in 2003, and has been working as the School Manager since its establishment. The portfolio encompasses Daycare, Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools in Arusha. She is an ardent practitioner of horticulture, passing on the knowledge and love to pupils and students in the school.

GOODLUCK AMOS KWAYU, is a Member in the Board of Directors of TAHA since 19th January 2023. He is also the Board Treasurer, a Member of the TAHA Finance and Audit Committee and a Member of the Executive Committee of the TAHA Board. Goodluck represents the Comprehensive category of TAHA Members.
The Managing Director of Rijk Zwaan Q-sem and Rijk Zwaan Afrisem, Goodluck, a Tanzanian national, also has a strong background in Audit where he practiced in Deloitte & Touché (DTT); Finance, Human Resources and Accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com- Accounting) Honours Degree (2006) from University of Dar es Salaam and is a Member of the National Board of Accountant and Auditors (NBAA) - Certified Public Accountant and a Member of Accounting Association University of Dar es Salaam.

MS. VICTORIA NYANZOBE MWANUKUZI is a Member in the TAHA Board of Directors since 19 January 2023, representing the Associate category of TAHA Members.
A Tanzanian by nationality, Victoria is the Managing Director, NYANZOBE INSIGHT LIMITED (Consulting Company) since March 2015 and she holds a Master’s degree in the management and the implementation of development projects, a Bachelor’s degree in computing and information systems and a Diploma in computer studies. She has worked in the context of the EDF for more than 20 years, and has acquired vast experience in managing EU programmes and projects in Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Kenya. She is well-practiced in facilitating coordination with line/sector ministries on implementation of EDF programmes and providing coaching to the same actors, and is highly skilled in setting up and training on monitoring and evaluation systems
She is a Member of the Women Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Mango Growers

DR. EDMOND PATRICE MATAFU is a Member in the Board of Directors of TAHA, appointed on 19th January 2023. He represents the Allied category of TAHA Members.
Dr. Matafu, a Tanzanian national, is a veterinary doctor by profession and seasoned businessman with over 25 years’ experience in business management. He is the founder and Chairman of Live Support Systems (T) Limited a company that he a company that works with farmers across the entire United Republic of Tanzania, the Island of Zanzibar and within the greater Eastern Africa region in assisting farmers to determine the soil nutrients composition of their farms and how to correct their soil health. He is also the Chairman and Founder of World Air Travel and Tours Limited a company that offers ticketing services and tour packages. He is the Chairman of Board of Trustees for Mama Chakula foundation, an organization that deals with women farmers in rural areas with the aim of empowering them on various spheres of life that include farming and nutrition.

He brings in vast experience, backed by his position as the CEO in a reputable organisation in the Food industry (Darsh Industries), a position he has held since February 2007 to date. Darsh Industries Ltd is one of the largest independent FMCG manufacturer of REDGPLD tomato products in Tanzania. Gavane, an Indian national, is a Food Scientist, with 29 years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Quality, Research & development, Procurement, HR, Sales, Distribution, Advertising, Marketing and Projects.

MR. ALLY KHAMIS JUMA was appointed to the TAHA Board of Directors on 01st April 2024, co-opted due to his vast experience of Zanzibar and his position as a Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Agric Irrigation Natural Resources and Livestock of Zanzibar.
A Tanzanian national, Ally has served in a number of Ministries in Zanzibar, bringing into the TAHA Board a rich blend of experience and strategic networks to promote and transform the horticultural industry in Zanzibar.

MS. ARAFA NASARO ISMAIL is among the latest appointments into the TAHA Board of Directors, having being appointed on 01st January 2025, representing the Comprehensive category of TAHA Members.
Arafa is a versatile and results-driven professional with a strong background in urban planning and public-private partnerships. Currently the Operations Director of Nyurunyuru Enterprises Limited, she holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning and Management from the Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Dar es Salaam University, Dar es Salaam. She is a Registered Town Planner by Tanzania Planners Registration Board (TPRB), a Certified Public Private Partnership (PPP) Professional by APMG International and a Member of Tanzania Institute of Town Planners.

MR. JOHANNES CORNELIUS MARIA BOGERS (Olaf) is one of the latest appointments into the TAHA Board of Directors, having being appointed on 01st January 2025, representing the Comprehensive category of TAHA Members.
Olaf has 23 years of experience under his sleeves, in the Dutch and European agri- and horticultural sectors, and 7 years in the Tanzania agri- and horticultural sectors on different national and international levels. Currently the General Manager of Kiboberry Ltd, he posses a degree in Plant Production, commercial profile from the HAS University of applied sciences, Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. A Dutch by nationality, Olaf has had exposure to other courses including Evaluator of vegetables and Organic farming among others.
