Most imported agricultural inputs, implements, and technologies are exempt from Customs Duty, VAT and Excise duty.

  • Reduced inputs registration costs, testing time and simplified registration procedures.
  • Advocated for the abolishment of 120+ agricultural fees, taxes and levies.

Development of the National Avocado Development Guidelines.

  • Commissioned a Comparative Port Logistics Study

Efficiency at airports, seaports, and introduction of a “Green Channel”.

  • Operationalization of Cargo Freighter in collaboration with AVIA Solutions Group.
  • Successfully facilitated market access for Tanzanian avocados to key international destinations, India, South Africa, China, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • New markets in the pipeline: USA, Japan, and Israel
  • Strategic partnerships driving the agricultural transformation of Zanzibar.

  • Reduced dependency on fresh food imports from 80% to 30%, boosting local production and food security.

Promotion and Market Development  for Export to the UK and EU (Trade).
